Desktop Windows Manager (dwm.exe) and Client Server Runtime Process (csrss) are using 40-80% of my gpu

I have had this issue since i got my computer (almost a year ago) and I have tried various solutions, such as updating my drivers, changing my power plan and even reinstalling windows (only a safe reset though) and nothing seems to work and it consists on these two proceses using all my gpu, which makes overall performance horrible

I'll list my pc's specs below if it has something to do with a hardware issue

    Desktop Window Manager or DWM.exe is the system manager that generates every element visible on a PC/laptop. In addition, it is responsible for stimulating all visual effects in Windows menus, transparent components, wallpapers, themes, thumbnails and system animations. The built-in graphics card is often used by desktop window managers for all needs.

    Here is a list of the most common causes:

    The hardware-accelerated GPU plan is enabled.

    The Windows version is outdated. (The odds are low.)

    The graphics driver is corrupt or outdated.

    Corrupted/corrupted system file.

    The Settings in the NVIDIAControl panel are incorrect.

    Even when the PC/ laptop is inactive, users report seeing GPU consumption of over 70%, which is not normal. DWMS typically use Gpus of 1% to 3% of total volume.

    Therefore, the following suggestions may solve this problem:

    1. Keep your Windows operating system updated.
    2. Disable visual effects in Windows appearance and performance.
    3. Switch the Desktop Window Manager task level to Efficiency Mode.
    4. Disable GPU scheduling for GPU hardware acceleration.
    5. Update your video card driver.

    Hi iTsnotCaSe,

    Search directly for "Internet Options" in the taskbar, then click "Advanced" and you will see this option in "Accelerated Graphics":

    Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering

    Uncheck it and click OK.

    When solutions at the software level are unable to solve this problem, we will consider the possibility of hardware failure. Therefore, in the end, it is a good choice to send the equipment to the after-sales service for inspection.

    Hello, and thanks for your reply

    I already tried updating my graphic drivers, disabling the visual effects and setting the process to efficiency mode, however nothing seems to work.

    As for the GPU scheduling part, I think my windows version does not feature the abilty to disable it directly from the windows display settings tab and i'm also starting to think it may be a hardware problem, but i'm not sure about that yet
