NVIDIA Graphics Card Not Being Detected in Device Manager

I've recently purchased a ASUS TUF Gaming A15 laptop. It has got two GPUs: an AMD Radeon integrated GPU, and a NVIDIA GTX 1650.

AMD GPU works just fine, but recently when I started a game, i came to know that the NVIDIA GPU had got disabled.

Things I've tried:

  1. Went to Device Manager, it's not there(not even the "Show hidden devices" option works
  2. Tried updating the device driver manually, but can't as NVIDIA's setup tells me "NVIDIA GPU wasn't detected in this system"
  3. Set the BIOS settings to Default.

Ok, I've managed to find the solution to this problem myself, and I'm sharing it:

NOTE: This works ONLY for ASUS laptop owners.

    1. Go to your ARMOURY CRATE software.

    2. There go to your GPU Power Saving and make sure the Standard option is selected. I accidentally enabled the Optimized option, due to which the software disabled my GPU.

And that's it. You now have the GPU visible in the Device Manager. If your GPU name in device manager seems translucent, then you probably need to reinstall the drivers.

Also, thanks to Sumit and Raju, who took their valuable time just to help me with my problem.

One of asus technician told me, one user played heavy game continuously using nvidia GPU in laptop, afterwards nvidia GPU disappeared.

Technician examined motherboard, he found nvidia GPU burned.

    .

Same thing might be happening to your laptop.

So take your laptop to nearest Asus laptop.

"Did you enable Nvidia GPU in BIOS?"

I couldn't find such an option in my BIOS.

    "When this issue is happened?"

Today morning onwards. Yesterday, I was playing a game on my PC, and NVIDIA GPU was being used by the game.

Today morning, when I booted up the same game, I suddenly found extremely laggy gameplay. So I went into my taskmanager to inspect. Then, I found that my NVIDIA GPU wasn't there. Went to device manager too, still it wasn't there.

    Hi Surya,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Your Laptop has likely a defect. If it is under warranty, contact ASUS. I would see what I can suggest.

    Right-click Start>Run.

Type in msinfo32 and press enter.

Take a screenshot of the System Summary window and post it in the next reply.
