Blue Yeti Microphone Has No Driver & Is Undiscoverable

Hello all. I have had this microphone for two and a half years, and it has never worked. Both Microsoft nor Blue Yeti were willing to make it right on their end, so I am stuck with an expensive microphone which, as of now, does not work. Here is a bullet list of things I have noticed/done:

  1. The mute light within the button on the front of the microphone is illuminated solid red. Upon pressing the button, it will not blink.
  2. I have tried this microphone on other computers, and it won't work on any other computer (I have tried on both Windows and Mac), though I have not tried another cable.
  3. I have plugged the microphone into every port on my PC.
  4. No drivers come up in the Device Manager at all like it isn't recognized in the slightest.

Attached is a photograph of my computer's specs and what my device manager sees. I have read there is no driver due to Blue Yeti microphones having a USB input. I am a student, so I don't have money to throw away microphones that won't work. I'm unable to sell the non-working microphone to get the money back for a working one, but if anybody can fix my problem, I can try to make it worth your while. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Max

This is Tamal trying to answer your question.

From you description it seems like the Microphone or its cable itself was bad from the beginning. As the Red-light glows that means the Microphone is receiving power from the USB socket, but as there is no communication with PC then it could be the mic/cable partially broken or both. The easiest thing is to test with changing the cable, may be if you have some working one available for testing (like one with USB scanners). If that doesn't work, be sure it's the Microphone. May be take it to some electronics hobbyist & ask them to experiment & if they can bring any good news.

If you discovered the mic to be not working in the new condition, you should have claimed warranty in the first place or sale returned at the point of purchase. Your computer specs are good for gaming.
