Oh Ok. Well thank you again for the help.
Re-download minecraft
So I have purchased minecraft a few years ago before the account migration from Mojang to Microsoft. Now my account is migrated and eyerything as expected. The thing is my laptop will probably need a format and so the launcher and basically the game's files will be deleted.
Can I reinstall the game even though I have purchased the game with a different account (Mojang account) ? Can I just use my migrated Microsoft account to get the game without paying?

2023-03-21T14:28:55+00:00 Good day Angelos, thanks for your question. I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. If you have already migrated your account and you have received an email with regards to the successful migration then you do not need to pay for the game again and once you have finished formatting your PC then you can refer to the below if you will encounter an issue reinstalling and playing the game.
Kindly go to the launcher and from the settings try to add the Microsoft account that you used when you migrated.
- Go the Minecraft Launcher
- Check if there is a go back button and then click on X and try to login using your Microsoft credential
- Another way is to from the lower left of the launcher click Settings and then Accounts and then click on the 3 dots and remove any account that is in there
- After doing the above try to login using your migrated account/credential
- If the issue still persist you can also try the below
> Sign out from the launcher (top left of the launcher) and now click on Go Back and then choose to log in with a Microsoft account rather than a Mojang account and check if the MS login details will work and enable you to play the full game
> From the launcher go to settings and then accounts and then click remove from there and after that login the account that received the email confirmation from the migration

> If you are dealing with the new launcher, kindly check and try the below and see how it goes.
- Open the Microsoft Store
- Click on the profile icon
- Click on your account and then click on Sign out
- Press Windows key + R and from the run box type in there wsreset.exe and wait for the process to be completed
- Go back to the Microsoft Store
- Click again the profile icon and login or click Add personal account and login using the account that you used when you purchased Minecraft Java Edition
- Search for the Minecraft Launcher and try to download/install it again or instead launch and try it again or try to launch it from the Xbox App and if you do not have the Xbox App installed then install it from the Microsoft Store
> If the above will not work, you can download and install from the alternative link below and remove any other launcher that is installed on your PC before trying it out.
