Feature update to Windows 10, version 22H2 Failed to install on ‎3/‎10/‎2023 - 0x8007001f

Windows has tried to install update 0x8007001f daily since mid February, and each day it fails to install. Why has it failed to install and what can I do to get it to install?

    Hi Jan Jan,

    I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

    Please try the following.

    1. Run Troubleshooter

    Open Settings => Update & Security => Troubleshoot => Windows Update => Run the Troubleshooter.

    1. Use Command Prompt commands.

    => Open Command prompt as Administrator.

    => Type/copy the commands below , enter 1 by 1.

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop cryptSvc

    net stop bits

    net stop msiserver

    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old

    net start wuauserv

    net start cryptSvc

    net start bits

    net start msiserver

    => Close the Command Prompt and restart your computer then try to update again.

    1. Use System File Checker to check and fix corrupted system files which may be the cause of the issue. Please refer to the link.

    After that try to update again.

    1. Use Windows Update Assistant.

    Non of the recommended fixes worked, all my programs, features , start all not working????

    I have the failed to up date error on Windows 10 22H2 as well.

    None of the fixes worked.

    Any Ideas Folks?

    I've done all these steps and yet my system doesn't allow me to update.

    I've had to pause the updates as it's constantly trying to update 2004 and then 22h2 current count is... 17

    Anything else I'm missing?

    I try to set up a recovery drive and it wont allow me to do that either.

    The windows 10 version 22h2 is not working. I have trying to fix this mess for 4 days. I am 76 years old and everything is Greek to me. I can't open the action center, the start , or settings. Fix this mess please.
