Hi, I am trying to download a software update for my cars map and infotainment system, from Citroen without success. I can download the file from Citroen website, but when I try to open and run the file on my pc it will not Install. It says, "Installation Aborted Setup was not completed successfully". I need to load it onto the pc to enable me to then transfer it onto a USB stick and then into the car. I am running Windows 11. I have 660GB free space on the computer and am running it as administrator. I have tried loading it with Avast security turned off. I would appreciate any help anybody may be able to give. Thanks very much, Ken Nice

    Hi,

Thanks for your latest reply, it is very much appreciated.

I attach below the dialogue box I bring up when I right click on the file, which is different to the one you have shown me. Do you know how I get to the one you show with the Block / unblock feature?

    Thanks

    Ken Nice

Are you sure you need to run a program on the pc first and not just copy the contents of the zip file to the USB.

Usually you will downland a compressed file, zip, and then extract the contents to a folder on your computer. You can then select that folder and copy the contents to the USB flash drive.

Okay I see what you mean.

Try right clicking the file and selecting run as administrator. If that doesn't work then right click again and select properties then try using compatibility options.

See if either of those work and make sure the USB flash drive is in all the time.

Yes it must of been auto blocked by windows. Delete this file you download. Then go back to your website redownload it. Once it's downloaded right click on the .exe file choose properties then choose unblock then you can right click and run as administrator.

    Hi, Thanks for your reply.

The file is as follows: Citroen.Update_Setup_0.1.24.exe

The Citroen instructions instruct me to:

Download the Citroen Update tool via PC. (Which I assume is what this file that I am trying to load is). This tool will prepare the USB stick that you need to use in your vehicle. Just launch it and follow the instructions on the screen. Once the USB is stick is ready, you can do the installation in your vehicle. You need to have administrator rights to install the "Citroen Update" tool on your computer.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hope above makes sense.

    Thanks

    Ken Nice
