Any Update here?
New Windows Update caused my AutoDesk Maya software to stop working
I was working on Maya software Thursday and noticed there was an update to Windows. Updated before I went to sleep and closed my laptop when finished. I opened my laptop Friday morning to work with Maya software and after the update, Maya does not open any files or open recent/new files I have worked with. Nothing is working now after updating with the update: 2023-01 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5022404). Updated February 9th, 2023. Have been trying to install and reinstall the software and still nothing works. I have contacted their support and have not found any solutions.

2023-03-21T20:58:24+00:00 I was experiencing a similar problem, I had not used maya since January. Tried to run it today and no go.
Both windows updates and updates to maya software (ver 2023.3).However, resetting preferences to default by renaming the 'prefs' folder - the tried and true classic to all maya problem, did.
Steps here: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Reset-Maya-to-Default.htmlThis is, of course, a pain for anyone who has customized menus and workflows, but better than nothing if you're unable to launch at all.

2023-02-14T20:32:20+00:00 Hi, I hope you are well.
It's possible that the update might have caused compatibility issues with your software.
Here are a few steps that you can try to resolve the issue:
Check for updates: Check if there are any updates available for your Autodesk Maya software. It's possible that there might be a new version or patch available that addresses the compatibility issues with the latest Windows update.
Reinstall the software: Try to uninstall and reinstall the Autodesk Maya software. Make sure to download the latest version from their official website and follow the installation instructions carefully.
Rollback Windows update: If you suspect that the Windows update might have caused the issue, you can try rolling back the update to the previous version. To do this, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history > Uninstall updates. Find the update that you installed and click on the Uninstall button to remove it.
Contact Autodesk support: If none of the above steps work, it's best to contact Autodesk support and provide them with the details of the issue you are facing. They might have a better understanding of the issue and provide you with a solution.
I hope this helps you to resolve the issue.
with best regards
R. Cord
