Stuck on boot at "Please press DEL or F2 to enter UEFI BIOS Setting" message. I unplugged all USB devices and restarted the computer. I haven't changed any of the hardware (GFX card, RAM etc). It won't move on from that screen. Please help.

I'm having the same issue, what you probably aren't understanding is that the F2 and DEL do not do anything therefore you cannot enter bios.

    Hello,

Often this is caused by a bad peripheral device. unplug EVERYTHING from the PC - All USB cables, and hard drives, all optical drives, etc.... Remove and Reseat the memory if possible - plug in only power cord, monitor and keyboard. Attempt to enter the bios - if possible reset bios to factory defaults. Remove bios battery if neccessary to reset.

If you can get in - investigate the bios version and if it is upgradable.

Sometimes this will work - sometimes you've got a corrupt bios and need to replace the mainboard.

    Hi Thomas,

I am Dave, I will help you with this, there is a problem with your BIOS.

Boot your PC into BIOS, then find the option to restore BIOS defaults, apply that, save those settings and restart your PC, does it boot into Windows?

    Worked for me, thx!

I put my PC into sleep mode wirhout turning my printer of (who turns himself off after an hour or so). On PC bootup / waking up, I got the error message.

The moment I unplugged the printer USB cable my PC resumed booting up as normal :)
