    Hello, this is Emily.

It is by design that Windows would like you to sign in everytime you turn on the computer. You can disable using the following:

Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options. Turn off "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign in for Microsoft accounts on this device".

Once that's done, type netplwiz in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then uncheck the box "user must enter a username and password to use this computer". Save the change and restart the computer. Then next time you sign in, it shouldn't ask for password.

I can't even figure out which account it thinks is mine. Using my phone, I have reset my password for my acct and my daughter's school account and tried logging in. These are the only 2 accounts I am aware of. It has come up with so many different reasons I cannot log in. It has literally taken my laptop hostage.

    Seriously,and respectfully, ****??!!

Turn off "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign in for Microsoft accounts on this device".my final step to solve my problem is: "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign in for Microsoft accounts on this device". But, I do not have this option in my settings. Where do I go from here?
