Trojan on Forza Horizon 5 installation

Hello,

I recently reset my PC to perform a clean install. So I also reinstalled the games I enjoy like Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox app.

Except that the Windows Defender antivirus has twice (for the moment because I haven't finished the installation yet) found 2 trojans (of the same type) on 2 different installation files.

You can find the details attached to this question.

Why does the Defender antivirus manage to find 2 trojans on 2 different files of the installation of Forza Horizon 5 which is a Microsoft game that I installed from the official Xbox application (itself installed from the Microsoft store)?

I find that very strange.

Thank you for your help.

PS: I deleted absolutely all partitions on all disks before reinstalling Windows, so it can't really come (well I think) from an old file. I also paid great attention to the sources when I installed my software.

Edit: We can't find the first trojan in the second image because I deleted the Windows Defender history in the meantime. Because I thought it was a false positive.

Edit 2: After deleting these 2 files and repairing Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox app. The antivirus still finds 1 trojan (of the Cinematic_Assets.zip file). After manually scanning the other file, the antivirus found nothing.

Just got off of the phone with MS customer service and they said it has been reported by several users and they are working on it. That doesn't mean too much other than MS is aware of the issue and that it is affecting more than one person

I am experiencing the same thing. I rebuilt my computer wiped all partitions on all drives was re-downloading forza horizon 5 through the Xbox app. Windows defender started throwing notifications of Trojans detected with the same file names you’re reporting.

I’m having the same issue. Installed Forza Horizon 5 and it came with two Trojan warnings that have affected the Xbox Games Folder. When I use Run to bring up the file it says it’s not available in my system
