Hi, I am trying to setup my computer to automatically login an account on restart. I only have a password as a logon option (no-pin, etc.), and i am using a local account.

Searches indicate I can do so using netplwiz after disabling the option "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in..."

However, I don't see this option.

    Hello, how are you?

    Perform the procedure below and check if an option appears in netplwiz, if so, after disabling it it should work without requiring a password.

    1. Press Windows+R, type regedit and click Ok;
    2. Access the path below:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device

    1. In the keys list on the right, double-click on DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion;
    2. In Value data, type 0 and click Ok;
    3. Reboot your computer.

    After that, access netplwiz again and check if the option is presented.

    1. On the Desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;
    2. In the Run window, type

    netplwiz

    and click OK;

    1. Uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" box;
    2. Confirm with "Apply" and then enter the password/confirmation of the current password and click "OK";
    3. Restart the device and it will automatically log on.
