Keyboard keys not working after a period of inactivity

Good morning, my keyboard has been working properly ever since i bought it, but in the last few days it seems to have a problem.
The keys: W, A, S, D, Q, E, *spacebar*, don't work after I don't press them for a while, and start working after just a few seconds, depending on the lenght of the inactiviy period.
For example when i open my pc, these keys don't work for around 30 seconds after i press them, and then they will work without any problem. So when I open my pc I have to press the key A, without anything happening, and then after about 30 seconds when i press it again it works fine.
But this also happens after little period of inactivity like 10 seconds, after which the key will work after 1-2 seconds, rather than 30 seconds.
To summarize, it seems that after a period of inactivity I have to somehow "wake up" the key to be able tu use it, and the time it needs to wake up depends on how long it wasn't used.
The problem I have explained impacts only the keys I have used the most while playing videogames, and not those keys I rarerly press.

    I've the same problem.

Last month I replaced the battery and cleaned up the dust a little bit. The problem started happening 2 or 3 days after that. External keyboard works fine.

In my case, arrow keys (left and right) have this issue. I use them a lot too. But I use right key a lot more, still both are having the exact same problem. "Waking up" one key wakes up the other key too.

    Did you find any solution?

    Hi Benedetto

I'm Christine, a Windows user like you. I'll do my best to help you.

I can see here that you're having issue with your keyboard after an idle time.

May I know when did the issue start? Is there any changes made?

Please check and follow the steps below:

    Method 1: Reinstall Keyboard driver

Please press Windows key + X and choose device manager

Look for Keyboard option and expand it.

Please uninstall the driver and restart your device, that should be reinstalled after the reboot.

    Method 2: Run Hardware Troubleshooter

Please press Windows key + R

Paste the command below to the Run box and press Enter:

    msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic

    Method 3. Run Keyboard Troubleshooter

Please click Start Menu and type Troubleshoot then hit enter

Look for Keyboard option and run it.

Once done, please restart your device.

Please let me know the result. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.

    Thank you,

    Christine L

    Hi Christine

After your reply I tried the three methods you recommended, but unfortunately the problem was not solved.

To answer your question, I think the problem started shortly after I routinely dedusted the hardware components of the PC, and there hasn't been any change since then.
