Mouse Sensitivity 6/11 is too quick

Hi there,

I was recently looking into mouse acceleration and pointer speeds to see what the best settings for raw input is and I've read and seen in many places that it's highly recommended to have my pointer speed set to 6/11 on the Mouse Settings>Additional Mouse Options>Pointer options tab. However, I've been using it and even on 400 dpi (the lowest my mouse software can go, Mouse: Glorious Model O- Wired), it is too quick for me. I feel like it's still not raw input (even though it is) and I'm wondering if something else that I haven't considered could be affecting the speed of my pointer? Or could it be that my preference of mouse speed is a lot slower than what 6/11 pointer speed offers, but I want to make sure there isn't anything additional affecting it first before I make that conclusion. (Mouse acceleration is off, Pointer speed 6/11, DPI: 400, Mouse: Glorious Model O- Wired) = Too quick mouse speed

Thanks in advance, I hope someone can help,

Georgie

    Hello Georgie13, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that your mouse sensitivity is too fast even with low DPI;

    Initially I recommend that you try the following;

    Go to Mouse Settings > Additional Mouse Options > Pointer Options;

    Enable the option "Improve mouse precision";

    This option will slow down the mouse cursor;

    Click Apply;

    Check that the mouse sensitivity is now OK;

    See you soon!

    thanks so much for the reply! I've decide to stick to the 6/11 mouse speed and I'm starting to get used to it so I'll stay with this for now. I really appreciate the reply though. I hope you have a great day.

    Dear Georgie13,did you check the settings in the Glorious software?

    Open the Glorious software;

    You'll see the DPI settings on the right of the screen;

    Click Lighting;

    In Effect, click on the dropdown menu and change it to Glorious mode;

    Drag the slider to set the cursor speed;

    Play around with the software settings until you find the desired cursor speed;

    Hope this helps, see you soon!

    Hi,

    I appreciate the response, however, Improved Mouse Precision does not give raw input when using the mouse which I want to keep for specific reasons, therefore, I turned it off. Is there another settings I haven't considered that doesn't cause mouse acceleration? Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks in advance,

    Georgie
