I have a Lenovo Laptop and connect it via HDMI cable to a Samsung Smart TV. Video plays fine but audio will not play on TV only through laptop speakers

Thank you for replying. First, it was working fine (audio/video on tv) less than a week ago with only plugging in the HDMI cable and did not have to change any settings.

The only output listed is Speakers Real Tec no HDMI

Did a Windows 11 reboot last nite with Microsoft and did not fix problem. They suggested reinstalling driver with Lenovo

Please let me know if you have tried changing the audio output to the TV?

Click on the sound icon on the taskbar, next to the volume there should be an arrow, click on it and the available audio outputs will be shown.

Check if you can select output via HDMI to your TV and the sound plays on it.
