I cannot delete this app but my system says i'm fully updated and i've replaced the card reader . How do i reinstall windows photo viewer or delete it if possible ?

Unfortunately, this did not work for me as "Windows Photo Viewer" was not listed in appwiz.cpl. My version of the photo viewer seems to be corrupted and I think I should uninstall it and reinstall. I am trying to figure out how to do that.

    Please check your AutoPlay settings.

    Image

Disable "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices".

    (or)

Select "Take no action" under "Memory card".

    ****************************************************************

As a side note: You can use the classic Import Wizard (which doesn't use the Photos app). To do so, connect the memory card. Open This PC, right-click on the memory card, and choose "Import pictures and videos".

Hi there, I'm John D, and I am an independent advisor.

I understand that you're having trouble with the Windows Photo Viewer app on your Windows 10 system. To fix this, you can try reinstalling the app by following these steps:

    1.) Press Windows key + R

2.) Type "appwiz.cpl" and hit Enter

3.) Click "Turn Windows features on or off"

4.) Uncheck "Windows Photo Viewer" and click "OK"

    5.) Restart your system

    6.) Repeat steps 1-3

7.) Check the box next to "Windows Photo Viewer" and click "OK"

    8.) Restart your system again.

This should fix the issue. Alternatively, you can remove the app by unchecking the box in step 4.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,

    John D.
