Hi all, when I sit and chat with my friends in discord, they can hear everything that's going on my computer. It's not background noise, but it feels like they're watching the video themselves.

I went all over the Internet and all the advice did not help me.

My motherboard is Gigabyte B550M AORUS ELITE

And Xtrfy H2 headphones

I think at this point you have tried everything possible on the software side, except for a clean install, which I don't think would help.

Considering it also affects different headset, I think this is an electrical design issue related to the jack you used, specifically the "common audio ground" for the jack. Any chance you can try a bluetooth headset?

    This is very odd.

Can you go back to mmsys.cpl > recording tab, enable Stereo Mix, restart the computer, then go back to disable it. I want to see if that might trigger it to work. This typically is a feature from Stereo Mix if it were to come from Windows.

Another option is to create another Windows user. A local user would be enough for testing purpose. Sign into the new user and see if it works.

If it still doesn't work, I suspect that it can be due to some third party app. Do you have any audio related third party app? If you can think of any, try uninstall and see if it helps. If you can't think of any, you might want to perform a clean boot to confirm that. Here is the instruction of clean boot: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t... For example, if it works fine in clean boot, at least we know it is not Windows.
