The process of resetting an Asus laptop to factory settings can vary depending on the model and operating system. However, here are the general steps you can follow:

    1. Back up your important files and data to an external hard drive or cloud storage as resetting your laptop to factory settings will erase all data.
    2. Press the "F9" key repeatedly while the Asus laptop is booting up. This will take you to the recovery menu.
    3. Select "Restore factory settings" from the menu.
    4. Follow the prompts to confirm the reset process.
    5. Wait for the reset process to complete, which may take several minutes.
    6. Once the reset is complete, your Asus laptop will be restored to its original factory settings.

    Hi Brody,

I'm Christine, a Windows user like you.

Looks like you would like to go back to Windows 10 after upgrading to Windows 11 after a year. Thanks for sharing your concern. I'll do my best to help you.

Regarding this, you are right, you may only downgrade to Windows 10 from Settings within 10 days after the upgrade. And since it's been a year already, it will not be part of the option.

I'll be transparent with you, the only way now to have Windows 10 back on your device is to reinstall the Windows 10 via USB or flashdrive.

Here's the steps on how to perform Clean installation:

    Thank you,

    Hi Brody,

Thanks for that information, please try to click Start menu and type reset then hit enter. Hit Get Started under Reset this PC and wait for it, check if you will have the option that says Restore to Factory Settings, removes your personal files, apps and reinstall the version of Windows that came on this PC.

Please let me know how it goes,

    Thanks,

    Christine
