Hello, I am having an issue with my keyboard. No matter what I try I can't get it to work right!

These are the laptop specs, incase it helps.

Installed RAM 4.00 GB

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Acer Spin SP111-33

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the keyboard twice but nothing. Here's a list of what each letter looks like (I'm using another keyboard to type at the moment):

Q = qw

W = we

E = we

R = r

T =

Y =

U = u

I =

O = o

P = p

A = as

S = sd

D =

F = f

G =

H = h

J = j

K = lk

L = lk

Z = zx

X = xzc

C =

V =

B = b

N = n

M = m

1 = 1

2 = 2\

3 = 3

4 =

5 =

6 =

7 =

8 =

9 =

0 = 0'

  • = -

, = .,

. = .,

/ = /

; = ;

' = '

\ = \

I hope you can help me with this, because this other keyboard sucks.

    It is possible the wrong keyboard language is installed.

    Please click on the Windows Key and the S key at the same time.

    Type the word language in the search and open the page.

    Make sure all the settings for language, region, and region format for your location.

    If they are not correct, change the settings to the correct ones.

    Then restart the computer.

    If they are correct, change them to something else and then change it back to the correct settings.

    Then restart the computer.

    Please let me know if you have questions.

    Best Wishes,

    Cindy

    Unfortunately, this method didn't work. I'll probably have to keep using an external keyboard from now on. If there are any other methods you know, please let me know.

    The next step is to reinstall the keyboard drivers.

    Please type Device Manager in the search and open the page.

    Scroll down the page and click on Keyboard.

    You should see the drivers inside.

    Right-click and uninstall the drivers.

    Restart the computer. Windows will reinstall the drivers and many times fix problems.

    If this does not work, try troubleshooting the keyboard.

    1. Please type the word Troubleshoot in the search on the taskbar and open the page.
    2. Then click on other troubleshooters.
    3. Scroll down the page and click on the run key on the keyboard.
    4. Then follow the prompts.

    ___

    Make sure the computer is currently up to date.

    Please type the word update in the search and see if there are any new updates. Update if necessary.

    On the same page click on the advanced or additional updates.

    Update.

    If the computer is updated, be sure to restart the computer.

    Here are a few other things you can try to change the keyboard. Each computer is slightly different so one may work and the another may not.

    Click on the Alt key and the Shift key at the same time. Are you able to change the language setting?

    If not, try the next two settings.

    Click on the Ctrl and the shift key.

    Click on the Windows key and the space bar.

    If these do not work, check to see if you have a language listed on the taskbar next to the time. If so click on it and see if you can change the language.

    Best Wishes,

    Cindy
