Hi Adam, I think it's due to Razer Cortex managing your background apps when you run a game, then relaunching them when you exit the game. Are you able to uninstall Razer Cortex and test?
Widgets.exe - System Error
Before the issue starting occurring, I did a reinstalled windows but with the option to keep present files. This never occurred before the restart.
After I exit a Steam game, my computer will just start opening the same 6 applications at the same time for no apparent reason. I'm also given 4 different "Widgets.exe - System Error" pop-ups.
Here's what I receive
- "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140_APP.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."
- "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1_APP.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."
- "The code execution cannot proceed because CONCRT140_APP.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."
4.""The code execution cannot proceed because "VCRUNTIME140_APP.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."
This occurs every time I close out of a game.
I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling widgets.exe, but the issue still occurs.
