On a chat with a MS agent I was told that a person could install Visual Studio 2022 and activate it with a 2019 license. I am just checking the accuracy of this information.
I have a couple of users with VS 2019 Pro licenses ($499 cost) and now that VS 22 licenses are the only thing available and we need everyone on the same version. Can the 2019 license be used to activate VS 2022 with the same product key?

If there's no active subscription, then the 2019 license can only work for VS 2019. Check the Stand-alone option here

These licenses are not subscription based. They are Personal VS 2019 pro licenses. @Anonymous
