Computer mouse and keyboard not working

Was on my computer when suddenly my mouse and keyboard stopped working. Tried turning it off and on still nothing , the LEDs on my keyboard still light up and the laser at the bottom of my mouse still lights up but doesn't do anything , I cant do anything ,can't log in ,I tried getting a bootable USB to try repair my windows but I can't use my mouse to click on anything . Both mouse and keyboard work on my brother's computer. His mouse and keyboard did not work on mine . Tried all the usb ports none of them work

    Hiya.

    So the bios reset work but sadly same problem still . Keyboard light on but doesn't do anything

    Thanks for your response. There were several ways to reset the BIOS in that vid guide including removing CMOS battery for 5 minutes, have tried that?

    Please try resetting your BIOS. After resetting it, if it still does not work, your board may need to be checked for hardware issues.

    Thanks for trying that out, Peter. There may be parts in your motherboard that need to be physically tested or checked for hardware defects. But let's have other community members see what they have to say about this. Hopefully, they'd drop some comments. Thanks for allowing me to try to help you.

    Got to the bios set up thingie and yep keyboard still doesn't work so I can't press any of the options.
