You can download a legitimate Windows 7 ISO from August 2018 by using the tool available here:
Only the August 2018 version is available, and only in English. You can select from Home, Pro, and Ultimate, either 32-bit or 64-bit

I have a laptop from around the windows 7 era and I NEED the windows 7 ISO for this, also I have to use a piece of software that also requires windows 7.
I don’t care about the security issues or the lack of updates & support. I just need the OS
I tried looking around on random websites but all of the files there are counterfeited and won't work. If anybody could provide me a way of officially downloading windows 7 pro 32 bit please
I have an activation key and I don't plan on buying a cd

I dont see even the August 2018 version of Windows 7 anymore in Heidoc.
It doesn't work anymore because Microsoft doesn't do windows 7 anymore.. I need it though :(
The easiest thing here would be to buy a working used computer with Windows 7. Done with a small purchase. Since you lost the copy or never got/made one then its what it is.
You could try asking the computer manufacturer if they still have a DVD to send or iso. Worth a shot anyway.
Going to add that you're sure it won't work with Windows 10? A lot of software does. It might also work with Linux albeit that's a big learning curve there with Wine especially.
Hope the best :)
You're correct that the Heidoc tool doesn't seem to have even the August 2018 version of Windows 7 anymore. I don't know when that happened, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't because "Microsoft doesn't do windows 7 anymore." Those ISO files were available for years after Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7.
The Dell versions are still available, however. I don't know how customized they are or if they will work on a non-Dell laptop, but you might give it a try.
Or ask in the Heidoc support forum if the August 2018 download will return (if you find out, please come back here and let us know): https://www.wincert.net/forum/forum/227-windows-iso-downloader/
