Hi Jull Wild
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Open the Genshin Impact folder and find mhypbase.dll
Delete that file, then restart your PC and check if that game will work correctly.

Hello!
I got a new notebook with Windows 11 and I wanted to download genshin impact. After I did that it worked as usual (client worked, game also worked, I could´ve played).
But since yesterday I keep getting blue screen after I want to launch the game. The genshin client works as usual but when I want to launch the game itself my notebook crashes with blue screen that says "your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We´re just collecting some error info, and then we´ll restart for you. Stop code: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE".
I tried to reinstall the game (didn´t help). I also heard it can be blocked by antivirus so I tried to disable every antivirus possible but since I don´t understand notebooks or systems at all I probably didn´t do it right and got the blue screen once again.
I would like if someone were able to help me with it. The weird thing is that the game worked the few first days so it definitely has to be something wrong with the notebook settings or the security system (I just don´t know what exactly because as I said, I don´t understand technologies).
My notebook is MSI Pulse GL66, I have Windows 11.
Please if anyone knows how to fix this, could you write it to me? I really don´t know how to fix this or what to do with the settings so it would work :// thanks in advance

Actually Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection if enable is what caused the blue screen turning it off will fix the problem without needing to delete anything
Edit: here the reddit post where this is explained https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin\_Impact/comments/12re8yz/genshin\_impact\_causing\_bsod\_when\_kernelmode/
Hello Dave,
Genshin Impact runs a check for file integrity after one has logged in. Deleting mhypbase.dll leads to corrupting the game for it throws an error after launching and logging in and asks to delete and reinstall the whole game (which can be rather troublesome if your Wifi only allows 6 MB/s and your reinstall therefore takes more than three hours). Deleting mhypbase.dll solved the bluescreen error but not in the way I wanted to - I would like to fix the error and play again. After game reinstall, the error still showed up. In case you ask, I updated my system and my drivers as a first try to get rid of the error but it didn‘t work.
I also read about “a user writing“ suggesting to disable Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection which may be effective but - in my opinion - is not recommendable. It would be like tearing down a whole layer of protection of your PC but a small hole in it is all we need here. It seems accecptable to me to turn it off every time I want to play and turn it on again afterwards but only as a last resort before deleting the game.
I think that it would be sufficient to tell kernel security check (that’s where the error comes from according to its name) to exclude the contents of the directory Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact game and its subdirectories from its check. I am asking for the whole folder because 1) I don‘t know which files or file activity are causing the kernel security check failure and 2) there are more files in the folder that suggest having a protective purpose towards the game or against cheating, like HoYoKProtect.sys and mhyprot3.Sys.
Is there a way to do that? Could you tell us what to do in detail?
I already tried finding out how to do it and stumbled upon the idea of booting into safe mode but got stuck when I opened system control > security and maintainance (if this sounds fishy to you, it may be because my OS runs in German and I don‘t look up every name). Maybe this direction could lead to solving the issue in a less dirty way than turning off a security aspect.
Thanks for your help so far and in advance.
I've been having the same issue with Genshin Impact. I deleted the mhypbase.dll file and my game launches now, but will not let me log in to my account. It keeps giving me error 31-4302.
