Powering off USB ports during shutdown / sleep mode (Windows 10)
I have RGB accessories tied in to my PC through USB ports, and when I put the computer to sleep or shut it down, these accessories stay lit. I've searched around and tried everything that I could find, but I'm not having any luck.
Here is my motherboard: Z690 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB4
Here are the things I've tried so far:
USB selective suspend - Disable ACPIpower on settings - Disabled by defaultDeep Sleep - Selected both options available (S4 and S5)
Is there anything else I can do?

2024-04-22T18:32:13+00:00 I have been having the same issue since I built my new PC in January 2024 and finally found the final piece of the puzzle to sort it today through the below video:
https://youtu.be/vfbj481e65Y?si=BRQSCzDIPDSAgGXi
The final setting that needed to be edited was in the BIOS. ErP (found for myself under power settings) needed to be enabled. Once this was done, along with all previously mentioned settings, the UBS ports finally turned off after shutdown.
Hope this helps.

2023-04-30T16:32:00+00:00 Some modern motherboards always keep power to some or all of the USB ports by design. Unless there is a setting to change this in the BIOS there isn't anything you can do to change it.

2023-04-30T12:21:51+00:00 Hello! My name is Mostafa, and I’m an independent advisor and a long-time Microsoft user.
I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box.
- When the Power Options window opens, click the Change plan settings link to the right of your current power plan.
- Click the “Change advanced power settings” link.
- Expand the “USB settings” and then expand “USB Selective suspend setting“.
- Click Apply to save your changes.
If it does not help you, look for a setting related to USB power during standby or ERP support in the BIOS settings. If you find it, disable the setting and save your changes.
I hope the above steps helped you. In case of additional questions, reach out back to me, and I will be happy to help and try my best to resolve your issue. Thank you.
Best,
Mostafa
