    Hi Lionel,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

With those websites that sell Windows licences, it is very hard to judge whether they are selling genuine consumer Windows licences, really the only thing you can go by is the price they are charging, if the price is too cheap, then the deal is too good to be true.

That website you have mentioned indicate they are selling OEM (PC Manufacturers) licences, at a very cheap price, that would indicate that they are selling volume licence keys and honestly, you should be very careful, those licences will initially activate, but will soon after automatically deactivate when Windows cannot contact a company key management server to re-arm the licence.

    Hi Lionel,

Another option would be to download the free ShowKeyPlus app from the Microsoft Store and enter the product key into that app, that will report exactly what type of licence the product key is for.

Right, but those support request are private, I think this is the only way to show in a way that anyone can verify, and check the claims of a Microsoft associated entity, I already know the answer, but there is no way for me to prove it, if any day someone got scammed by any of these "business" it would be the word of the client against the "business" and there would be no trustworthy source to check if for example, a provided code is actually stolen, real, or simply expired.

Any way a Microsoft representative, agent, employee could check it?

It is important to prove things beyond doubt and having a someone related to Microsoft check if the codes they sell are legit would help the community, and maybe save someone or a lot people a good amount of money and headaches after being scammed, I have a code they provided, multiple actually, I just need a way to publicly show the legitimacy of my words

    Hi Lionel,

Community is just a user to user forum, we cannot say for sure if the product keys they are selling are legitimate, just many people some here regularly after purchasing cheap licence keys online and their Windows will no longer activate.

The best option if you want to contact Microsoft Support would be to fill out the form on the link below, hopefully they can give you a definitive answer on the product keys you have purchased.
