I hate windows 11! There should be an option to make it work like windows 10. I had to get a new laptop because my pc was on it's last leg. Yesterday I spent hours and hours setting it up and this morning it's all back to nothing. Can't add my husband into the Mail app, I've had to add him to his own sign in on the laptop which took double the time as I had to go through EVERYTHING that I did on mine. Icons added to the desktops won't stay there. Turned off sounds set up my email but can't get it to work as it used to, the way I want it, as the options are different. All screens keep opening in all different sizes after I set them. I don't want to use edge or bing AT ALL, I don't like them. I'm so angry and annoyed with this. Tech is supposed to get better with updates etc, NOT WORSE! I want windows 10 back but can't find my disk and I'm NOT paying again

    >>f I wanted to return to using windows 10, as I don't like the formatting in win 11- specifically the drop down menu changes, without a licence key (can't find my disk) would it be free and possible ?

You can as long as the OEM provides support for Windows 10 and allow a free downgrade. Some OEMs provide, and some do not. Disk cannot be found because it will require disabling VND option in BIOS.

If the context menu is the only problem, please see:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

This will restore old right click context menu of Windows 10.

    Hope this helps.

Re-reading your question again makes me wonder if you are logged in into a temporary account.

    Does Settings>Account say the same?

    Ho Joanne,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Congratulations on the new computer. We will try to ensure you will love Windows 11 when this thread closes :)

You seem to have enabled Outlook Preview - a preview version. Do you see a slider on the top right in the Mail app, like the screenshot?

If so, turn it off to revert to the traditional app.

Please ensure Apps are fully updated in the Microsoft Store:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

Also, please ensure all Windows updates are installed - there are many improvements in 22H2:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/upd...

In Windows 11, you decide when and how to get the latest updates to keep your device running smoothly and securely. To manage your options and see available updates, select Check for Windows updates. Or select Start > Settings > Windows Update .

I hope this helps and let me know for other questions.
