I use windows 11 (upgrading recently from windows 7).

My only means of connection to internet is my usb router : huawei mobile broadband model E3236.

Since my upgrade and my uploading of all recent updates suggested by the windows update, my USB doesn't connect to internet. It doesn't even seems to be read by the PC (no led light, no voice that something enter the port USB, and of course no internet signal).

I turned the ethernet on and I tried many ways but no result

I asked if this is a cellular or wireless adapter.

It seems like the adapter is outdated. For this reason I also suggested to contact the manufacturer's Support to find out if it can be used for Windows 11. If not you may need to replace it.

A cellular adapter is very unusual. Have you considered a wireless adapter like one of these:

    https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-USB-WiFi-Adapte...

If you have ethernet then I gave you all fixes that work for getting ethernet working here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for... I did not suggest to do any kind of reset or reinstall so I'm not sure where that came from.

Please let me know what you find out.

Hello, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

Use one of these methods from the manufacturer to install drivers:

    https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/driver-l...

Is this a wireless USB connection or cellular?

For further help contact Huawei Support here:

You said you also are not getting Ethernet connection, which may be crucial to getting the Huawei drivers installed properly, and it needs to be working so you have a stable backup method to connect. So here are all fixes for Windows 11 Ethernet to work through until it connects: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back, I will have other suggestions if necessary.

I checked the pages you mentioned.

For the first and second pages, there is no mention for the modal of USB I am using. It is seems that it is outdated.

For the third page, the instructions are different from what I had on my computer. And, after trying to workaround, I had to Uninstall all changes and began from zero (fortunately, my personal files didn't erased.

I think I should return to windows 7. Windows 11 and 10 seems very advanced to me.
