USB 3 to Ethernet connectivity issue.

Hello Team,

I have bought Diva USB 3 to 3 USB network adapters including ethernet.

I am using Lenovo ideapad 5, which does not have a build-in LAN port and I am unable to find ethernet drivers, also the Realtek auto installation program.

The USB ports within the hub are working, however, the ethernet adapter is not, when I plug it in I see that I am connected via cable for a while and then the icon disappears, also I cannot load anything.

I already updated all the drivers I could think of , read most of the threads in the forums.

When I run the Windows diagnosis some of the times I am getting the error : ASIX AX88179 USB3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter not working , however, not all the times. I tried updating the SIX AX88 driver, but nothing changes. The hub is working on another laptop, but it is not on that one.

Thanks in advance,

    Hi,

First of all, have you tried using the Ethernet port of the Diva USB 3 on other devices? If yes, does it work or not as well?

If not, then that concludes that the problem is within the Diva USB 3 device's Ethernet port. If it works on another device, then the issue might really be within your laptop.

If that's the case, we can perform a few steps to fix it. First, we can try disabling USB Selective Suspend in Settings > Display > Power & sleep > Additional power settings > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings, under 'USB settings', under "USB selective suspend setting' set it as 'Disabled'.

Let me know if it helps.

    Regards,

    Hi,

Since it is working on your other devices, let us first run a scan on your device. Please click on your Start menu and type Command prompt then right-click on it and select Run as administrator. Type "SFC /SCANNOW" then hit on Enter. It should start scanning and let me know the results.

Also, may I know the current version and build of your device? To check, please press on Windows key and R at the same time and type "WINVER" and hit OK.

I'll be waiting for your response!

    Thanks,

    Hello there,

I already tried the USB Hub on another device and it is working fine.

Also the USB ports on the USB hub are working fine.

I disabled the USB Selective Suspend on both cable and via battery power as I am using a laptop, however, the issue was not resolved.

I am still opened for suggestions as I already watched most of the ''guides'' in the web, however, I am stuck.

The laptop is able to recognize the USB ports like mouse, keyboard and etc, however, the Ethernet is not working.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello Slavomir,

My name is Nada, I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you.

Please make sure the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into the Ethernet port on both your router and your laptop. On your router, make sure the Ethernet cable is plugged into the correct Ethernet port— not the Internet port that’s used to connect your modem and router. If one Ethernet cable doesn’t work and you have another one nearby, try the other Ethernet cable to see if that works.
