Is it safe to delete "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Downloaded Installations"? what are the implications?

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Downloaded Installations is taking a lot of space in my computer, what is the purpose of the file, is it safe to delete it. are there any implications to deleting it?

    You may prevent the repair of software that needs repair or it may affect uninstallation, but in most cases it should be safe to delete. One person reported some adverse effects on a Dell.

    I saw reports that it can affect the Dell-specific utilities. Temporarily copy the folder somewhere for backup purposes, then delete it. If nothing bad happens after testing, you should be able to delete the copy.
