    Hello Jonayed, this is Emily.

I assume this is just to delete the update files that have been downloaded, but your computer is now updated to Windows 11 yet, right?

If so, this is what you can do:

Type Services in the search on the taskbar and hit enter to launch the Service app. Locate Windows update, right click on it and stop it.

Then in File Explorer, go to C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download You can delete all files in this folder.

Then go back to Services app and right click on Windows Update to start again.

I followed those steps but, when I got to the C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder, there were many subfolders, the "Properties" for each of indicate a size of 0 bytes. Is there something hidden, maybe deliberately by MS, to prevent deletion?

List is still shown and will not download and install. Also is not trying to refresh update or see what is new. Show's old time when last updated.
