Why is blue screen of death showing when installing windows 11?
I built a new PC and I wanted to install windows 11, but it always go to BSOD. I set the bios to default, and get the same issue. I also change the flash drive and nothing. I tried unplugging what is connected on the USB except the mouse and keyboard and still nothing. I also updated the bios and nothing.
Is there a way to fix this?
My PC specs are:
Intel i7 13700k
Asus ROG Z790-A D5
32GB DDR5 Ram
1tb Samsung 990 Pro NVME SSD
Windows for home | Windows 11 | Windows update

2023-10-11T11:23:46+00:00 I have a similar situation.
Mine is an ASUS Tuf Gaming MOBO
i9 CPU
32 gb memory
3.5 TB onboard SSD storage and 5TB external storage.
I just did a major Windows 11 update and everything went to hell after that.
First I got a BSOD, but was able to get into the BIOS to check the drives and memory, they all tested fine.
So I sacrificed one a, 1 TB drive to use as a testbed for the boot problems. I wiped the drive and did a clean install of Windows 11 and it was successful but then the system stopped booting altogether, and on every attempt to even get to a point where I could get into the BIOS, fails now and all I get is repeated BSODs Clearly the I have too much invested in this system to just trash it and start over, and I can't afford to do that anyway because I am now retired and on a fixed income. J am currently using a friend's borrowed old laptop just so I can write this and check my email, etc. I have been building and repairing systems for over 30 years for friends and family and I have never seen anything like this. I have not even read about something like this.
SMH.
Oh, and Microsoft insists that it cannot possibly be their fault. Even though, I have seen several posts on blogs and such describing a similar situation after a Windows 11 update.

2023-04-14T02:45:42+00:00 Hi, John,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.
The BSOD during the Windows installation is usually caused by defective hardware.
A common cause is the RAM, the first thing that you can check is if the RAM is installed in the correct slot, you need to install the RAM first in the slots DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2(you can see this information on page 17 of the user manual). If you are using more than one RAM stick, you can try to remove them and try to install Windows using one at a time.
If the problem persists, please attach a photo of the error message to help to identify what is causing the problem.
