SHORTCUT VIRUS

Hello. I'm trying to solve the problem by explaining it also in the Italian community, but I have not yet been able to solve it. This virus has infected several of my pen drives, and also my two pcs are infected, having no possibility in any way to install windows from another "clean" pendrive. How can I do to delete it permanently, so as to create an installation media to format in a "clean" way?

    It all depends. Some viruses can exist beyond a reset and some others can exist even beyond a total nuke by residing in deeper corners of the hardware.

    You can try running various free AntiVirus applications and find out what the virus is or if they can successfully deal with it on their own. There can be tools and info available as well for certain specific viruses that will help eliminate it.

    You can also obtain a bootable Windows USB stick from a friend or relative or have a shop clear off your computer for you. You should not use any of your current storage on their computers. You should not use your current storage unless it can be fully cleaned. And you should not attach new storage to it while booted into the OS at the very least. You should not have your computer connected to your network as viruses can jump through it should you have stuff setup in an overly easy sharing way.

    If anything, all data on your computer may be forfeit and compromised unless a tool can fully remove the virus.

    Hi, thanks for the responce. At the end, I'm making a new bootable usb, I don't know if try to delete the virus on the usb or not, because i'have fear if the virus can "navigate" secretly in the usb when I insert it in the pc that I formatted... So, thanks anyway. But, the virus by chance, since I have an old pc and sometimes the flash drive skips when I turn it on, if it restarted without booting, wouldn't it infect it once at the lock screen, even without opening it?

    Is this about the shortcut virus, everything converts to shortcuts, all files and folders on pen drive converts to shortcuts?

    If so, this might work to remove it from the pen drive,

    1. Open the command prompt,

    Press Windows+R to open " Run " box. Type " cmd " and then click " OK " to open

    1. Open My Computer and find the drive letter of your removable drive.

    (Assumption: my drive letter is H)

    1. In the Command Prompt, type " H:\ " and hit Enter.

    (Replace H with your removable drive letter.)

    1. Type " attrib –s –h –r /s /d *.* " and Hit Enter.

    or, download and run shortutvirusremover, which does the same thing, remove the shortcut virus from pen drives.

    To remove shortcut virus from a PC, I recommend using a bootable virus scanner. Normally it's called antivirus rescue disk, and here you can find a list of them.

    Tutto dipende. Alcuni virus possono esistere oltre un reset e altri possono esistere anche oltre una bomba atomica totale risiedendo negli angoli più profondi dell'hardware.

    Puoi provare a eseguire varie applicazioni antivirus gratuite e scoprire cos'è il virus o se possono affrontarlo con successo da soli. Ci possono essere strumenti e informazioni disponibili anche per alcuni virus specifici che aiuteranno a eliminarlo.

    Puoi anche ottenere una chiavetta USB di Windows avviabile da un amico o un parente o avere un negozio svuotato dal tuo computer per te. Non dovresti utilizzare nessuno dei tuoi attuali dispositivi di archiviazione sui loro computer. Non utilizzare la memoria corrente a meno che non possa essere completamente pulita. E non dovresti collegare una nuova memoria ad esso durante l'avvio del sistema operativo per lo meno. Non dovresti avere il tuo computer connesso alla tua rete poiché i virus possono passare attraverso di esso se hai una configurazione delle cose in un modo di condivisione troppo facile.

    Semmai, tutti i dati sul tuo computer potrebbero essere persi e compromessi a meno che uno strumento non possa rimuovere completamente il virus.

    Yes, maybe it's better. I am trying in every way to destroy this virus, but nothing. Among other things, I knocked out a pendrive, and I infected unintentionally another pc (because at the beginning I was going to install windows 10, and I detected this problem with the pendrive after I had already connected them to the other pc). Be that as it may, it is better to have advice like this than those who try to make you "fix" or finish damaged.
