It all depends. Some viruses can exist beyond a reset and some others can exist even beyond a total nuke by residing in deeper corners of the hardware.
You can try running various free AntiVirus applications and find out what the virus is or if they can successfully deal with it on their own. There can be tools and info available as well for certain specific viruses that will help eliminate it.
You can also obtain a bootable Windows USB stick from a friend or relative or have a shop clear off your computer for you. You should not use any of your current storage on their computers. You should not use your current storage unless it can be fully cleaned. And you should not attach new storage to it while booted into the OS at the very least. You should not have your computer connected to your network as viruses can jump through it should you have stuff setup in an overly easy sharing way.
If anything, all data on your computer may be forfeit and compromised unless a tool can fully remove the virus.
