Hello.

First of all sorry for my english It isn’t my main language.

So here is the big issue that i have and that can’t find any issue. It has been 5 days that i can’t work because It seems that there’s no solution for my problem.

  • I have decided a few days ago to reboot completely my PC. It went well. Everything was clean, working fast again. Was happy about It.
  • i’ve updated Windows as my pc asked me to
  • i’ve REstarted my PC and they said that there’s a problem with my PIN. Impossible to do anything. What the hell? There’s also a solution to write a password but i’ve never choosed any password to begin with. So it’s impossible for me to conne t.
  • Anyways, i was ok to reboot It again and do a main password without any PINs
  • When i près TAB and restart my computer i GO to the window settings (blue screen with many options). I click on restore my PC and… BLACK SCREEN! Can’t do anything.
  • i restart my PC, i GO to the main page where they ask my password again. I GO AGAIN on the window settings menu and the problem is here: as many options i can choose, there’s always a black screen that won’t let me continue the process. ANY options is the same. CMD, restoring, uninistall, last Windows update etc. Always a damn black screen.
  • i first thought It was a screen problem, but all my screens are the same. Tested many HDMI câbles, everything leds me to black screen after choosing an option on this menu.
  • OK, so maybe i can reboot by Accessing to a BOOT MENU/BIOS. GUESS WHAT? Nothing works! 😂 I try to tap escape after pressing power. F1, F2, F3, F4 etc… NOTHING. CAN’T ACESS A BOOT MENU

I literally don’t know what to do. I’ve tested absolutely everything. It’s driving me crazy because thé computer seems to work. I open It fine i can access to the main Windows page where they ask my password. BUT I CAN’T REBOOT IT.

I desesperetely need HELP!

Thank you very much!

Hello, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

You said in your first post your rebooted your computer. Do you mean you reset it? And now you're trying to Reset it again?

When you first reset your PC you said you couldn't set up a PIN when requested, nor could you use a password. If you set up a Local Account and didn't put in a password, then your password to insert is a blank password, press Enter. If that doesn't work then it's likely the account is corrupted. It is not uncommon for a Reset to be corrupted if the original install was corrupted. This is why it should offer to use Cloud option to download fresh installation files.

If you are stuck trying to reset again now, then you can try to sign in with a blank password to see if that works. If so then I can help you sort out any other issues with the Reset.

If that doesn't work and the Reset remains stuck, then follow this guide to a failed Reset which gives all possible options, of which one will always work: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back, I will have other suggestions if necessary.

    Hi,

Thank you for helping me. I also think it’s a BIOS/boot issue!

    1. I don’t see any logos when i open my PC (before i was seeing the HP Omen logo)
    2. Desktop
    3. HDMI and DISPLAYPORT (DP)

Thanks a lot to everyone who’s trying to help me here. It’s very appreciated.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your help

I know how to access Windows recovery, i’ve tried everything in this menu. But as i said when i choose something there’s a black screen.

When i click Advance Option > click Troubleshoot> Reset PC> Keep my files

There’s a black screen after i click « keep my files » like instantly.

The black screen stays, for like hours and hours.
