Im having your exact problem but I have tried multiple audio jacks on my pc and the issue still persists. Even tried the audio jack on my monitor and the issue is still there. Have tried multiple headphones and nothing has worked.
Right ear headphone audio randomly stopped working??
Out of nowhere the audio for my right ear on my headphones (connected to the PC front audio jack) stopped working. I only get audio through the left ear, like how mono audio sounds. I have tried everything I can think of to fix it and so far nothing has worked:
- It is not an issue with my headphones, if I plug them into my phone they work perfectly fine and when I plug a different headset into the audio jack the issue is still there.
- I tried blowing in the audio jack and that didn't work.
- It is not an issue with the front panel audio connector because it is plugged in correctly and like I said this issue happened seemingly out of nowhere.
- Mono audio is not turned on in settings so it's not that.
- The audio is properly balanced between both ears so it's not that.
- I tried changing the sample rate and bit depth and that didn't do anything.
- I tried disabling audio enhancements and exclusive mode and that didn't work.
- I have disabled and re-enabled, updated, uninstalled, and reinstalled the Realtek HD Audio Driver multiple times and that did not work.
- Installing Microsoft High Definition Audio Device driver and seeing if that would work did not work.
I have no idea what else to do. The rear audio jack (on the motherboard) works perfectly fine because my speakers don't have this problem and when I plugged my headphones into the rear port they didn't have the problem either. I don't think it is an issue with the front audio jack tho because like I said literally nothing happened this just happened out of nowhere and from looking around the internet it seems others have ran into this problem as well. Any ideas? Help would be much appreciated.

2023-04-09T16:28:56+00:00 Hello RaptorHunter182,
I am Jaspreet Singh.
It is most likely that the port has failed. The sudden failure is strange but it can happen if the pin inside the port was lightly touching the headphone Jack and a moment may have moved it to the point where it is no longer in contact.

2023-04-21T15:58:57+00:00 Update for anyone stumbling upon this question:
It turns out the cause was my front panel headphone/audio jack went bad/stopped functioning properly. I contacted my case manufacturer and got sent a free replacement front panel and installed it and now my audio is totally fine.
