Well, the process ids are all related to svchost. I very recently updated my BIOS, and I restarted my modem previously. There are no associated minidumps with this issue; it's not actually crashing the computer, only the ethernet connection. I *do* have minidumps, but they're wholly unrelated to the posted problem here.
I need help troubleshooting a PnP issue that keeps disconnecting my internet
I have encountered an extremely interesting and unexplained error tonight, and for the first time in my life I need to be the one to ask the question directly instead of finding someone else who's asked the question.
So with that preamble aside, I have deduced the circumstances leading to this problem and explain as follows:
On my new computer, I tried to have a video call via Facebook Messenger. It's the first time I have done so with the new computer, which was custom-built.
If I maintain the call and see the other person's video but do not turn on my own video, nothing happens. However, if I do turn on my camera, my ethernet connection crashes every minute or so for approximately ~3 seconds.
When this crashing occurs, Windows flags this identical series of four events in the System Logs:
Event ID 27, Source e2fnexpress
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I226-V
Network link is disconnected.
Event ID 32, Source e2fnexpress
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I226-V
Network link has been established at 1Gbps full duplex.
Event ID 113, Source HttpService
Attempted to add URL (http://*:2869/upnp/eventing/) to URL group (0xFE00001320000003). Status: 0x0. Process Id 0x38A4 Executable path \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\svchost.exe, User LOCAL SERVICE
Event ID 114, Source HttpService
Removed URL (http://*:2869/upnp/eventing/) from URL group (0xFE00001320000003). Process Id 0x38A4 Executable path \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\svchost.exe, User LOCAL SERVICE
I have attempted to troubleshoot this by seeing if I can manually add this same URL, but I do not know how to do so or even if I should. I do not know if it's a system permissions issue with one of these folders, but that's my best guess. From the looks of it, Facebook is prompting my computer to add a uPnP connection for direct video connection, and something in my system is preventing that automatic process from occurring. When it does so, the internet connection hiccups and reestablishes.
If anyone could inform me of how to resolve this, it would be much appreciated. I have noticed a few additional instances of my internet briefly hiccuping when doing other tasks on it but did not review my Event Viewer for those hiccups because they were so sporadic, compared to the Facebook Messenger dilemma. I'm guessing if I know why this regular problem is occurring and how to fix it, I'll also be able to properly troubleshoot those other hiccups.
Edit: Possible useful additional information is that the second two Event IDs, 113 and 114, still occur when on the call and without camera turned on. However, instead of occurring every minute and crashing my internet, they occur every ~10 minutes and do nothing to the ethernet connection. And the URL group, in the second 10-minute recurring instance, is 0xFE00001220000002 instead of 0xFE00001320000003.

2023-04-04T00:29:39+00:00 Hi,
I have attached a link below on how to check the process ID. This will help you find out which service is causing the problem.
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-find-out-app...
___
Please go to the support website of the maker of your computer such as Intel.com or AMD.com and download the updated chips and bios updates.
Unplug the modem for 30 seconds and then turn it back on. This will sometimes fix problems.
___
Please send over a copy of the minidump if you have one for the computer.. This is helpful many times in finding out what is causing the computer to crash.
Please go to your computer to find the minidump at this location. C:\Windows\Minidump
I have enclosed the directions below on how to send the minidump to me. You will need to save it first to the desktop.

2023-04-03T22:09:26+00:00 Cindy,
Your prompts did not resolve the problem, nor did my new webcam. I am still getting the exact same errors as posted above, except now it says the Process ID is 0xDB4 instead of 0xD38A4, and the URL group is now 0xFE00001120000001.

2023-04-03T03:15:52+00:00 Thank you, Cindy. I plan to get a new webcam tomorrow because the one I'm using is nearly 15 years old and may be causing problems simply because of a hardware issue, but if I get the new one and my issues still occur, I will test this out and see if it helps.
