This error apperead seemingly out of nowhere, i have tried to search for solutions, but to no avail.
All of the solutions refer to specific apps, though mine refers to an Updater.exe, all of my applications work just fine, i have tried to reset my pc, keeping my files with a cloud download, but still the error appeared.
I also tried to run a System File Checker (SFC), it showed no problems.
I scanned both my drives (C:, D:) for viruses, it showed no viruses.
The error looks like this:
Updater.exe - System error
The code execution cannot proceed because ffmpeg.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

FIXED:

I just reset my pc without keeping personal files and with a cloud download, thanks to everyone for the help.

I FOUND THE ISSUE IF YOU HAD YOUR DISCORD HACKED!!!

    So, here's whatcha do:

Click Windows logo key + R

    Type shell:startup

If you see an app that says updater and has an eye and says rolaslegacy (mine did) just delete it and clear recycle bin just in case (I did)

Restart and the problem should be fixed (it was for me at least)

I must ask - was it because of a game from itch.io?

You have been scammed by discord account claiming they want you to try their game right? I also found the updater which has an eye but with different name in that same location you mentioned. Whatever it was, thank you so much

I don't have teams installed on my computer, and it's not in app data.

I don't know if this helps, but my discord got hacked not too long ago, I got it back, but since then this error appears.

Hi nirpor, my name is John D. an independent advisor happy to help you with this.

Based on the error message you provided, it appears that the Updater.exe program is unable to find the ffmpeg.dll library. This library is shared by several programs, and it is possible that it was accidentally deleted or moved.

One solution that has worked for some users with a similar issue is to clear the cache of Microsoft Teams. This involves closing all Teams processes via Task Manager, opening the Run Command (Windows Key + R), and typing %appdata%, then following the path Microsoft\Teams\ and deleting all the files in there other than the meeting add-in. This may help to resolve the issue.

I hope this information is helpful to you.
