Hyperlinks in emails both in Edge and Chrome do not link but just open page with message that "this site cannot be reached". Since it occurs with different emails and in two different browsers, I suspect it is a system issue. Turning off firewall has no effect.

Hello! My name is Cristiano. I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you.

There are several things you can try to correct the issue with hyperlinks in emails not working:

Check your internet connection: Make sure that your internet connection is stable and working properly. If your internet connection is weak or unstable, hyperlinks may not work.

Check your browser settings: Check your browser settings to make sure that you have not disabled hyperlinks. In Chrome, go to "Settings" > "Privacy and security" > "Site settings" > "Javascript" and make sure that "Allowed (recommended)" is selected. In Edge, go to "Settings and more" > "Privacy, search, and services" > "Cookies and site permissions" > "Javascript" and make sure that it is enabled.

Clear your browser cache and cookies: Clear your browser's cache and cookies and try accessing the hyperlinks again.

Disable browser extensions: Disable any browser extensions that may be interfering with the hyperlinks. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Extensions" and disable any extensions that may be causing the issue.

Try a different browser: If the issue persists, try using a different browser to see if the hyperlinks work there. If they do, then the issue may be with your original browser.

Contact your email provider: If none of the above solutions work, contact your email provider for assistance. They may be able to help you resolve the issue.

I have done all this. I have no extensions, Java is allowed. Soecifically when I put a link in the body of an email, a preview of it should show up in the body of the email. It always did until recently. Mainly it turns itself off at night and works in the morning. I know that sounds crazy but I found some other commenter who said the same thing.

This is a bug and I am pretty pissed about it. It is EXTREMELY ANNOYING TO ME considering I have spent a total of eight hours trying to fix this. It is not a simple solution. Belive me, if it was I would have found the answer an dfixred it by now. Nothing works and I mean NOTHING. I don't even think the fixes are really addressing my problem. I do not want a preview paine or anythig like that. And I do not do extensins because I LOATHE AND DESPISE THEM.

Sometimes the link previews come back in the morning so what the hell is causing this.

What e-mail are you talking about? Are you sending or receiving? Do you always give it 20 to 30 seconds to see if the page opens?
