Windows 10 working with mouse and joystick together

Hey

I use a computer with Windows 10 with 4 monitors.

On three screens I run a camera monitoring software which I operate using a joystick connected via USB.

My problem is that when I want to work on the fourth screen the focus drops from the camera software and the joystick stops working. Is there a way to keep focus for the joystick while the mouse works on the fourth screen?

Thanks,

Hi, I have the same problem with a new USB gamepad I bought, the old xbox 360 controller works great but the new one doesn't works unless the window of the app is on focus, I don't find the "Enable Combining" option on the advances properties of my gamepad.

Hi Otus-Tal, I'm John D, and I am happy to help you with this.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your work is interrupted by technical difficulties. I'm here to help you find a solution to your problem with using a joystick and mouse together on Windows 10.

One possible solution is to adjust the settings for the joystick and mouse to allow for simultaneous use. You can try the following steps:

    > Open the "Control Panel" on your Windows 10 computer.

    > Click on "Devices and Printers."

    > Right-click on the joystick and select "Game controller settings."

    > Click on the "Advanced" tab and select "Properties."

    > Check the box next to "Enable Combining" and click "OK."

This should allow you to use the joystick and mouse simultaneously on separate screens without losing focus on the camera monitoring software.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best regards,

    John D.
