I've upgrade my windows from windows 10 to windows 11. I find that my DS4 controller can't connect to my pc. HID Compliant Game Controller not seen in my Device Manager. Therefor my DS4 can't connect to my pc.

How can I intall or enable HID Compliant Game Controller in order to connect my DS4 controller wired via USB? My pc did'nt support bluetooth.

I checked my windows for update but there is no option for me to install or update the HID Compliant Game Controller.

I'm tired with ton of driver update software that hungry for my money. I hope Microsoft can solve this issue in no matter of time.

    Hello jeffson,

My name is Hanem, an independent advisor, and I'm here to help you.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you.

I am using a DS4 controller as well and for stable connection you need to download their application, here is the link: https://ds4-windows.com/

tutorial on how to use this is already posted on their website, I recommend as well to change the usb cable just to check and refresh the connection.

Feel free to reply on this thread if you still need further assistance, and I'll be more than happy to assist you.

Thanks for sharing all the information about what you did regarding the issue, and yes it should be the game controller driver. I recommend fully uninstalling all game controller device under the device manager, if it ask you to delete the software please do so, then restart your computer and reconnect your controller and check if that fixes the issue>

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks for your response Hanem.

Actually I've tried DS4Windows which I've installed the latest version. Seems that the application did'nt detect my DS4.

And also, I've tried InputMapper app instead, seems goes nothing elsewhere.

Already tried connecting to different USB port which 2.0 and 3.0 directly to motherboard and PC tower. I've also change to different cable but seems nothing different.

Do I really need HID - Compliant Game Controller in other to use any controller on Windows 11 Pro?

    Thanks for your support.

But eventually, I've buy Bluetooth adapter instead. Connecting my DS4 to Bluetooth using the adapter seems smoothly without any issue.

After my pc detecting my DS4 via Bluetooth, I actually can connect my DS4 controller via cable even I disabled the Bluetooth. My pc seems to recognize my DS4 controller after that.

I even managed to remapping from Xbox controller to DS4 in any game by uncheck PS Configuration Support in Steam.

Steam>Settings>Controller>General Controller Settings>Uncheck all EXCEPT 'Guide Button Focuses Steam'

Also be sure to change properties in every game on Steam.

Select game>manage icon>properties>controller>Override for GAME - Use default settings
