I haven't yet. But I don't want to waste any money and damage my laptop at the same time. What can I do?
A green line keeps on flickering my laptop screen.
I was casually using my laptop when a green line appeared on my display. For a few minutes, it started to flicker causing my display monitor to flicker colors like green, cyan, and blue. I tried to roll back my driver but it's still there. I know this is a minor problem, but it's literally annoying me.
Here's the specs of my laptop:
Laptop - Lenovo Ideapad 3 - 14ARE05 Laptop - Type 81W3
Device name Compact-Racer-B01
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics 2.38 GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB (11.4 GB usable)
Device ID 517C1FE4-3343-46B8-9696-5C52571A3240
Product ID 00327-30871-34932-AAOEM
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Pen support
Edit:
I noticed that my fan is a little bit dusty. That may be the root cause of the green flickering?

2023-04-28T02:41:51+00:00 That's a hardware problem. To help identify whether its in the screen or the video chip, connect an external monitor if at all possible,, and see if it also shows the problem. If so it's the video hardware and if not it's the screen or screen invertor or cable. Either way, you're likely to need professional service.

2023-04-27T13:02:35+00:00 Hello Cedric, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;
I understand you have a green line on your Lenovo laptop screen;
Initially I recommend that you remove the installed AMD drivers using the AMD Removal Tool:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601
After removing the drivers, use AMD's detection tool, which will help check for graphics driver updates:
https://www.amd.com/en/support
After updating the drivers, check if the green screen disappears from the screen;
Hope this helps, see you soon!
