Hi, and thanks for reaching out. I am Zainab, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand how important it is for you to resolve this issue, nothing to worry I will do my best to help you out. Battery-related issues can be caused due to an aging battery, an AC adapter not working correctly, and so on.

-Have you made any changes or updates before the issue?

-When did the issue start to happen?

-What is the build and version of your Windows? To check please press the Windows key and R on your keyboard then type winver and press enter.

-What is the make and model of your laptop?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

    Method 1: Restart Windows Explorer

Right-click on the Start menu and select Task Manager > under the Processes tab scroll all the way down and look for Windows Explorer then click Restart on the lower right.

Method 2: Reinstall the battery drivers.

Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager> Select the arrow next to Batteries to expand it > Right-click on the Microsoft AC and ACPI driver and select Uninstall.

Restart your laptop so that Windows can automatically reinstall the battery drivers.

I hope the above information helps. Please let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

    Zainab.
