D Drive Showing Error Icon After PC Reset - Need Help Resolving the Issue

  • After resetting my PC, the D drive shows an error icon as seen in the photo.
  • However, when I ran an error check, it showed that there were no errors.
  • I am not sure what caused the issue or how to avoid it in the future. Can someone please advise me on what to do to resolve this?"

Note: If possible, it would be helpful to include the photo mentioned in the statement to provide more context for the issue

    Hi gtnero,

That error icon does not indicate there is anything wrong with the drive, it just means you have not encrypted your drive with Bitlocker, that is all, it is not an indication of anything wrong with your PC.

Bitlocker is a functon in Windows for encrypting drives, and honestly, if you do not need to encrypt your drive, it is best not to, because many people have lost data after enabling Bitlocker.

But if you want to remove that warning, you will need to encrypt the drive with Bitlocker.

Sir what does the error icon (⚠️) showing on my drive mean?

And what can I do to prevent it from appearing there?"

    Hi gtnero,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Are you referring to the exclamation mark on the drive?

If you are, that is just an indication that Bitlocker is not enabled on that drive.
