Hello, Dexter Dumalag
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Cat8 cables are designed to provide higher bandwidth and faster data transfer speeds than previous Ethernet cable standards. However, the settings of a Cat8 cable do not need to be activated as the cable itself does not have any settings that can be adjusted.
Instead, Cat8 cables are designed to be used with devices that are compatible with the Cat8 standard. This means that both ends of the cable, the device and the network switch or router, must support Cat8 to achieve the full benefits of the cable.
To use a Cat8 cable, simply plug one end into your device and the other end into a compatible network switch or router. The Cat8 cable will automatically negotiate the highest possible speed and settings based on the capabilities of your devices and the network.
It's also important to note that Cat8 cables are backward compatible with previous Ethernet standards, so you can use a Cat8 cable with a device that only supports a lower standard, but you will not achieve the full benefits of the Cat8 cable.
Let us know if you have any other concerns.
Best regards
