I want to recover my stick note and for that I tried finding sticky notes folder in appdata>local>microsoft but the folder is not there.

I tried the plum file but didn't help.

And the worst thing I wasn't signed up at that time.

Is there anyway I can get back my data. Also previous history of sticky notes application is not available.

Hi there, thank you for your response!

Here are the steps on how to properly find the sticky notes folder.

    1. Open File Explorer, and navigate to the View > Show/hide > Hidden items option.
    2. Click on the address bar and copy & paste this address:

    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState. And then press Enter.

    1. It will display the Stick Notes folder location and all files where you will also find the database file named plum.sqlite.

If this folder is not available, either your sticky notes are corrupted or it got reset.

Feel free to reply if you still need further assistance, and I'll be more than happy to assist you.

    Hello Osama,

My name is Nada an independent advisor, and I'm here to help you.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you.

Unfortunately, if the "Restore previous versions" did not work and the option "AppData" folder is also no longer available, there is no other possible way to recover those data since your Microsoft account was not signed in to Sticky Notes prior to the issue. Sticky notes did not have the access to the drive to sync your data for backup purposes.

Thank you for your time and understanding!
