"The parameter is incorrect" shows up when I try to allocate a volume to my SSD
I recently got a new NVME M.2 SSD and when I tried to allocate a new volume to use it, an error from "Virtual Disk Manager" showed up saying "The parameter is incorrect". What does this mean and how do I fix it?

2023-04-19T05:59:19+00:00 Hello! My name is Mostafa, and I’m an independent advisor and a long-time Microsoft user.
I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.
- Incorrect disk format: Ensure that the disk is formatted with a compatible file system. If the file system is not supported by the operating system, you may get this error. You can try to format the disk with a supported file system and try again.
- Disk corruption: If the disk is corrupted, you may get this error message. You can try running a disk repair tool to fix any disk errors.
- You can use the System File Checker tool to repair damaged system files.
Follow these steps:
Press the Start key and type the word CMD or Powershell, right click on the command prompt and select Run as administrator, enter the following commands one by one followed by the Enter key:
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
- sfc /scannow

- Hardware issue: There may be a hardware problem with the SSD itself. You can try connecting the SSD to a different computer to see if the same error message appears. If it does, then the SSD may be faulty and needs to be replaced.

2023-04-19T07:14:26+00:00 Hello Mostafa,
The only solution I can use that you mentioned was the system file checker tool and it doesn't seem to have worked. The reason I can't use the other methods is that the drive doesn't even show up in file explorer, only the disk management app. Also, where can I find a disk repair tool? Thanks,
