Initializing Hard drive ERROR... (an I/O device error)
Hello,
when I try to 'initialize' my second Hard drive - a pop-up says...
the request could not be completed because of an i/o device error.
I have Windows 10.
and the hard drive that isn't initializing, is new and didn't have anything on it - and just put in.
I really need this fixed asap, so I can start using the extra space the hard-drive will give me.
Has anyone ever seen or had this problem before?

2023-04-25T21:08:13+00:00 That error usually indicates a bad drive. I suggest you first check your connections.
What kind of drive is it?

2023-04-26T20:23:48+00:00 I assume this is an internal drive? Did you check the power and SATA connections? Is there a different SATA port you can try?
If you eliminate these, it's most likely a problem with the drive itself. If possible it would be best to check it with another computer, but I know what may not be practical for you.
