Really? Is this your solution? Thats like having a flat tire and the seller recommending you to buy a new car!!! ridiculous!!!
Mouse click randomly acts like a Back button - EVERY mouse, EVERY browser
Hi,
I've searched for answers to this -- it seems like A LOT of people have experienced this over the course of 10+ years, but I haven't seen a fix beyond basic recommendations that do not work.
Sometimes -- and frustratingly frequently -- when I click the left mouse button in my browser, the website will revert to the previous page as if I've clicked Back. This happens in every browser, using every mouse I've tried. Clearing cache and reinstalling the drivers does not help.
So is there a solution? Not "try a new browser/mouse?" Please, I would really appreciate help with this. Thanks!

2023-02-13T20:44:23+00:00 Just wanted to bring this back up. Seems *every* thread about a left click randomly going back to the previous page, going back some ten years, has ended with just a kind of petering out instead of a resolution. Would be absolutely awesome to actually find a fix for this problem that doesn't involve wiping the hard drive, which is just... not a fix. Thanks!

2023-01-25T17:58:24+00:00 Are there any options that don't involve me wiping my hard drive? I'm sure you can appreciate the massive hassle this would involve, and, without really any sense of what's going on, I'm skeptical that this will resolve the problem or that it won't come up again. This is a machine used for retail business, I can't just nuke the whole thing every couple weeks if it starts to act up.
This problem has been documented by other users going back at least 10 years. I have to imagine that in that amount a time there must have been a better answer than scorched earth.

2023-01-27T19:47:23+00:00 I appreciate the additional suggestions -- tried them, problem persists.
I'm really hoping this problem is solvable (though I don't consider wiping the hard drive a "solution" in any meaningful sense). Of all the many, many threads I've seen on this topic, they all seem to fade away without an actual fix. Surely there's got to be a way to address the glitch without nuking the PC from space?
Thanks!
