Hi everyone
I really need your help, thank in advance。 :)

I want deploy WSUS in multi-site, but i dont know how type SQL should I choose, MID or SQL server,

I will deploy one WSUS in HQ to sync with Microsoft and as upstream server (HQ have more than 300 windows servers), and deploy 3-5 WSUS in Branch offices (one office one WSUS, Fewer than one hundred servers )

How should I choose the SQL?

My plan is upstream server use SQL server, branch use MID, is this ok? or do you have any better suggestion?

Thanks again. :)

    Hello CCyvan,

Unless you have a specific DB requirement and already have a SQL License there are little reasons to chose a SQL WSUS unless literally thousands of machines and dozens of sites (and in that case, usually SCCM is preferred). WID will be fine, it has a 254GB limitation and you will never hit that limit. The main reason to use SQL is for performance (especially as time goes on even running the cleanup util), better management tools, and having the database on a separate drive/datastore. If you have a SQL license, and you are comfortable with SQL queries and DB management, use that. If not, use WID.
