Microsoft All-in-One Media Keyboard Not working on Windows 11 Professional

Hello,

Please help! I purchased a new Beelink AMD (PC) computer that is running Windows 11 Professional. I've attached a brand new Microsoft All-inOne Media keyboard. The keys on the keyboard work and interact with my system, although the touchpad does not. I've installed all of the required and optional Windows updates. I've installed the 64-bit driver for the keyboard. I've also tried to connect via each of the two USB 2.0 nano ports that are at the front of the Beelink, and I've tried uninstalling the keyboard and restarting my system. Windows 11 Professional is listing my keyboard as the Microsoft Dual Receiver Wireless Keyboard. I do not think that is the right keyboard. I've tried the automated troubleshooter and it is not detecting a problem.

Please Help!

Thank you,

I'm pleased to announce that after allowing the Windows 11, v. 222H2 update to instal on my Beelink AMD that my Windows all-in-one keyboard and trackpad works as expected. It's likely that my Beelink did not ship with all required drivers and that for some reason a direct instal of the keyboard driver was not sufficient. Initially my system reported that there were no further updates, although 222H2 was released on February 28, 2023.

The case was one where stepping away for a few days and allowing the automatic updates to do their work led to a resolution.

    Thanks again,

    Dhanam,

Thank you for your recommendation. It's appreciated.

It's not so much difficult as it is a unique problem that I need to spend a bit more time trying to resolve on my own, for instance I may not have a required file associated with trackpads on my lab system. The Microsoft product website was indeed the first place I looked and that is where I picked up the software and relevant product-specific drivers, however your recommendation is solid.

The keyboard itself is a replacement for the same model keyboard and the earlier one worked fine with my other two systems across platforms and without downloading additional drivers.

I'll be sure to update the post with my solution.

Thank you again for your help.
