How to delete system file

Have a .sys file left after removing application. How do I delete it.

    The driver package can be uninstalled if you no longer use the WD external drive. You can delete the driver package by downloading Driver Store Explorer (GitHub) or using the built-in console named PnpUtil.exe. Reference: How to Completely Uninstall a Driver.

    Also, you may need to run this command from admin Command Prompt:

    • sc.exe delete WDC_SAM

    Is there a WAY to delete Microsoft Component services sytem from Windows11 ?? it keeps crashing my game and soo annoying !!!!

    Name of file is wdcsam64.sys. Location is C:\Windows\sysrem32\DriverStore\FileRespository. Left over from removal of Western Digital external backup drive.

    You may try to stop this service and then delete the file. Try to remove it from the safe mode.
